SCITA will advocate to ensure our members and their communities benefit from bushfire recovery programs and grants. We will also advocate for the things our industry needs moving forward.
SCTIA will ensure the South Coast has a major media presence to ensure our voice is heard. Our supporting partners will provide the media assistance to ensure our destination is top of mind for consumers and businesses.
We need to find our voice and find our place
The South Coast needs investment and tourism infrastructure but it also needs a sense of entrepreneurship to grow our destination.
We will identify the gems and connect the dots that will ensure we develop highly desirable and unique tourism experiences and itineraries.
We will use our industry experience to mentor and guide our members to creating itineraries that include multiple market ready products and experiences that highlight the very best of the South Coast.
As if the bushfire crisis wasn't enough, the Covid-19 crisis has made 2020 and 2021 a disastrous time for South Coast Tourism businesses. Not only has it brought much uncertainty about when and how our businesses might recover, it has exacerbated many businesses issues that still remain after the bushfires.
The onset of Covid-19 has distracted attention from governments and agencies on the underlying tourism problems that still remain after the bushfire crisis.
The South Coast needs government action and major supplementary funding to put the South Coast back on a path to recovery and to create a more resilient industry for the future.
It has been many years since the South Coast has had an industry lead association that is focused on Tourism industry issues and requirements.
After the 2020 Bushfires and currently the Covid-19 pandemic we need a stronger connection between tourism businesses and government to ensure we build back stronger. Our approach is from the bottom up and the top down. We will actively search for opportunities to develop our tourism products and experiences.
We will work with our members to engage with government to again better outcomes for all parties.
SCTIA is a member focussed association developed to act solely for the benefit of South Coast Tourism businesses and organisations.
Tourism works best when connecting. We will identify big business connections and build creative partnerships that will deliver for the South Coast. We can't keep ourselves a secret any longer!
